Canjica or mungunzá is a very popular Brazilian dessert during Festa Juninas. The dish is prepared with special hominy corn, cooked with cow's or coconut milk, sugar, cinnamon and cloves.
Other ingredients such as peanuts and condensed milk can be added as desired. In Colombia and other Latin American countries there is a similar cooked corn dish called "mazamorra".
